Sustainably sourced & PEFC Certified
Tasmania’s forests are appreciated for their environmental, social and economic values. Sustainable Timber Tasmania (STT) is a Tasmanian Government Business Enterprise responsible under State legislation for sustainably managing approximately 800,000 hectares of public production forest (Permanent Timber Production Zone land).
Much of the Permanent Timber Production Zone consists of regrowth forest, which is carefully managed by STT. Regrowing the forest after harvest is essential for its long-term sustainability and it is from here where NSFP's regrowth timber allocation is sourced.
STT's forest management is currently certified under the Australian Forestry Standard which is internationally recognised, under the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification, as being an independent assurance of legal and sustainable timber supply.
All regrowth Timber harvested by NSFP is sustainably sourced, PEFC certified and has 100% chain of custody certification. When you purchase one of NSFP's finely crafted hardwood products, you can be assured that it has been ethically sourced and held to the highest environmental standards.
