Sustainably sourced & PEFC Certified
Plantation timber is grown on both private and state-owned estates specifically for the purpose of harvesting and typically consist of Tasmanian BlueGum (Eucalyptus globulus) and Tasmanian Shining Gum (Eucalyptus Nitens).
Both these Eucalyptus species are prized for their fast growth rates and desirable wood properties, providing NSFP with a quality hardwood product for a range of commercial uses in the Australian building and consumer sector.
Plantation estates are highly controlled environments with rigorous management practices in place such as thinning and pruning to create optimum growing conditions resulting in healthier, larger and straighter trees.
All NSFP Abelwood Tasmanian Plantation Oak is sourced from 100% PEFC certified, sustainably harvested and regrown forests.
