Abelwood X Macquarie House

Originally built in 1829-30 Macquarie House in Launceston is being restored and transformed into an innovation, entrepreneurship and technology hub.

This four-level sandstone brick heritage building is being taken back to its original floor configuration with our own Abelwood decorative and lining products, and Woodsmith Engineered Flooring being used throughout.

Tasmanian Oak is light in colour, varying from straw to reddish brown with intermediate shades of cream to pink, and provides excellent staining and finishing qualities, which allow ready matching with other timbers, finishes or furnishings.

Timeless in tone, our matte fully finished timber is respectful and complimentary of both heritage and new builds.
